I’m Fiona Sutherland, originally from the far north of Scotland in Sutherland. I moved to Edinburgh in 1999 to follow my passion for sport and health. I began my journey with a diploma in Sports Therapy, then went on to complete a degree in Sports Science in 2003. After a short time working in the Physiotherapy Department at St John’s Hospital, I realised I wanted to specialise further—so I returned to university to study Podiatry at Queen Margaret.
Combining my two areas of expertise—sports and podiatry—gave me the perfect foundation to open my own private practice in Edinburgh in 2010. Alongside clinic work, I was fortunate to support athletes across rugby, football, swimming, and athletics, at both amateur and professional levels. In 2013, my husband Ross and I took a year out to travel, and I even found myself working with the Brantford Harlequins rugby team in Ontario, Canada.
My passion has always been helping people—whether they’re athletes or not. Over the years, I’ve expanded my skills to offer a much more holistic approach to care. My motto is simple: to treat you from head to toe.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll probably find me out running or walking with my beagle, Molson, or cheering on my husband and his rugby team. I can’t wait to welcome you to the clinic soon!
